Tecnau Connect Brings Real-Time Production Intelligence to High-Speed Digital Print Finishing

 /  Newsroom

Tecnau strengthens its focus on data-driven print finishing with Tecnau Connect, helping printers reduce downtime, improve OEE, and turn production data into actionable insight.

Tecnau is renewing its focus on Tecnau Connect, the company’s Industrial IoT platform designed to provide real-time visibility, remote monitoring, diagnostics, and production intelligence for high-speed digital print finishing lines.

Already adopted by customers in Europe and included in many Tecnau system configurations, Tecnau Connect is now being brought to the forefront for the U.S. market as print providers look for better ways to improve uptime, understand performance losses, and make data-driven production decisions.

Tecnau Connect continuously collects and analyzes production and machine data from connected Tecnau finishing systems, transforming operational events into clear dashboards, reports, and KPIs. Through an intuitive browser-based interface, users can access Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) information, line and module status, error history, production statistics, speed metrics, counters, roll-change data, maintenance records, and performance reports across selectable timeframes.

By highlighting recurring problems and supporting root-cause identification, Tecnau Connect helps teams move from assumptions to facts. The platform distinguishes between initial errors and cascading events, giving operators, maintenance teams, production managers, and service specialists a shared view of performance, downtime causes, and improvement opportunities.

“Tecnau Connect has helped us better understand where production losses occur, identify recurring issues faster, and make more informed decisions across our finishing operation.” said a European print provider using Tecnau Connect.

Tecnau Connect also supports condition-based preventive maintenance by tracking component cycles, operating hours, and usage data, enabling maintenance teams to plan interventions proactively and minimize unplanned downtime. Secure remote connectivity allows Tecnau specialists to assist customers with diagnostics, troubleshooting, remote support, and software updates.

“Tecnau Connect was developed to provide customers with a comprehensive and transparent view of their production line performance, not only giving evidence that a stoppage has occurred, but providing valuable insight into why it happened and how it impacts the overall production process. By combining machine status, OEE analytics, error classification, and maintenance data into a single platform, Tecnau Connect enables customers to identify and address root causes rather than symptoms, creating a more reliable production environment and increasing the operational efficiency,” said Emanuela De Marco, Chief Technology Officer at Tecnau.

Tecnau Connect is available for Revolution 50 systems, Libra 800, and other leading Tecnau products. As digital print operations continue to face shorter runs, faster turnaround expectations, and higher production variability, Tecnau Connect provides the digital foundation for smarter finishing operations and continuous performance improvement.
