Tecnau installation supports signature-based book manufacturing and reinforces Zapolex's commitment to productivity, quality, and growth
Tecnau announces the successful installation of a StreamFolder 5152 system at Zapolex, one of Poland's leading printing companies, serving customers across Europe with high-quality printing solutions and a strong focus on innovation and operational excellence.
The new installation marks Zapolex's first investment in digital printing and finishing technology and an important step in the company's continued evolution of its book production capabilities.
Designed for short- to medium-run book manufacturing, the StreamFolder 5152 produces high-quality book blocks using plow-folded and glued signatures. By folding the web once or twice, the system supports 2-up, 3-up, and 4-up production, creating flat and consistent book blocks ready for downstream binding operations.
As demand continues to grow for efficient, high-quality book production, solutions such as the StreamFolder 5152 help printers combine productivity, automation, and reliable output while maintaining the flexibility required by today's publishing market.
"We are very pleased to welcome Zapolex to the Tecnau family," said Harm Jan Hulleman, Sales Director EMEA at Tecnau. "The StreamFolder 5152 is a proven solution for demanding book production environments, and we believe it will provide the productivity, consistency, and flexibility needed to support Zapolex's continued growth."
The installation was completed with the support of Arcus, Tecnau's local distribution and service partner in Poland.
"This project represents an important milestone for Arcus and Tecnau in the Polish market," commented Janusz Siemaszko, Product Manager at Arcus. "Zapolex is a highly respected book manufacturer with a long history of quality and innovation. We are proud to support their operations and look forward to contributing to their continued success."
Now fully operational, the new StreamFolder 5152 is already supporting production at the customer's facility, helping Zapolex establish a scalable digital workflow for short- and medium-run book manufacturing.
